height="300" />A night of cold, eastern football. A night of snow and ice. A night which can break or make our
spirit, win us morale, points, Valencianism but above all heart! Tonight on the cold, hard winter field of
Kiev’s Valeri Lobanovsky stadium the Ucrainian giants of Dynamo Kiev face the orange gladiators from the warm
eastern Spanish shores, defending the murcielago of Valencia CF!
The next round in UEFA Cup football is
at stake, but for our fallen heroes much more lays in the deserted field near the river Dnjepr. After winning
only one match in the last 5 games, the Mestalla money men are not on their best run until now, with financial
problems getting deeper and deeper every day, influencing the atmosphere at our beloved club. As for Dynamo, a
2 month winter holiday has hopefully weakened their strength and spilled some blood into their alcohol, but
with caution, it might be a hungry bear coming out of its winter sleep. Cause we can not forget, this Dynamo
played in the oh-so desired Champions League this season, not occasionally impressing with some great displays!
Sadly for them, they only got third and ended up in Valencia’s warm orange-filled lap, but a colder present
could not be rewarded to our heroes.
Zero degrees, snow, even the weather gods stand against our mighty
Valencia. And tonight, at 18 hours Spanish time the freezing battle of Kiev will start, with Valencia traveling
with at least 22 players towards the Ucraine. The entire Armada is called up for this match, but tactical
decisions made by Unai “the only neutral Basque” Emery are not yet revieled. Dynamo has its full squad
available and will surely be eager to kick some Spanish ass on their home turf. Valencia needs not only the
win, it needs to clime out of their ever getting darker hole of problems, drowning the club like quicksand,
making it more difficult to love this club every day.
But we Valencianistas are titans, soldiers that
might lose from time to time, we might be casted into the deepest of deepest, discarded by the wisest of
wisest, but we stay strong, we reunite, we draw back and regain our strength to reach victory once again! I
wish our love for this club could bring our club back to glory, cause their is a lot of heart behind this club
for sure. But, we will have to reach it step by step, inch by inch, jugador con jugador, with our heads up
high, as a team held strong… Let the blazing fields of Kiev be our first step back to glory, and let the
Valencian titans rock the earth till no team will be able to stand on their feet no more. We are Valencia, and
we will stand together! AMUNT!!!! – JW
